Ms Chun Sothany has over 21 years of experience in various sectors including investment, financial, and development sectors. She started her career as Internal Auditor for an international development organization in 2002 and then progressed her career across various functions including project management, project monitoring, fund raising, and donor relation before she moved to the financial sector in 2007. Her experiences in the financial sectors started with one of the leading microfinance institutions where she led the marketing, product development, fund raising and communication team before she joined an ANZ owned mobile money transfer business where she developed strategy and managed sales, including motivating and empowering over 900 WING commissioned-based agents. In April 2011 Sothany joined First Finance as a Chief Financial Officer and in August 2014 she was appointed CEO.

Biography

Currently Sothany is a chief executive officer of MVU Investment Plc where she leads the investment platform in mobilizing fund for investment to SMEs and MSMEs in Cambodia. She is also the chairperson of the Access to Equity committee of the YEAC association.
Ms Chun Sothany has a bachelor’s degree in management, and a master’s in organizational development – MFI Management. She also attended numerous training course in relation to risk management, corporate governance,
